Full Package
This in-depth process entails commitment from you and your preaching coach. Dr. Luchetti will invest no less than 15-20 hours into your development as a preacher. Your cost is $550 ($500 for pastors in churches of 150 people or less). Conferences cost about the same and academic courses are much more. Neither classes nor conferences offer you in-depth analysis and guidance that is tailored to your particular strengths and needs. The Process
How Long? Your coach will guide you through a 3 month process.
Month 1: You will meet with your coach to explore your preaching style and ministry context. Your coach will view and evaluate in detail two sermons you preach in your ministry context. You will meet with your coach to discuss the detailed feedback. Your coach will also give you“homework,” pointing you to tools that will help you grow based upon your particular preaching strengths and needs. He will give you things to read, sermons to view, and tips to try.
Month 2: During these months you will do the “homework” and employ what you’re discovering about preaching. This month is designed to give you space to experiment with what you’re learning about yourself, your congregation, and the art of preaching. During this month you will apply the Preaching Prescriptions your coach gives you.
Month 3: Your coach will view and evaluate in detail two sermons that reflect your new learning and growth. You and your coach will also develop a 1-2 page Annual Preaching Growth Plan (APGP). The APGP will articulate in detail what you will do to grow as a preacher in the year ahead. The plan will delineate what you will read, conferences you will attend, preachers you will consult, sermon forms you will try, etc.
